ATV RF POWER METER FOR 10GHz USING AN LNB

If you take an LNB the type shown in picture 1 and make an RF detector at around 1000MHZ and add it to the IF output you will get a very useful RF probe to go along lines to see where the RF is or not. The LNB will limit at about 1m/W but this is enough to drive a simple RF to DC detector... You have to also make a "T" piece to insert the 12Volts required to power the LNB.. So all you need for this "T" is a 1000pf cap and a small RF choke.... The Diodes for the rectifier circuit should be RF types that work @ 1000MHz.......................... G3RFL
