WHO INVENTED THE HORN ANTENNA
At the University of Calcutta, in 1897, J.C. Bose developed the waveguide horn antenna. This is basically the same design that Arno Penzias and Robert W.Wilson of Bell Labs were to use 68 years later to detect the background radiation left over from the formation of the universe (the "Big Bang" theory of the Universe) perhaps 18 billion years ago. This work earned Penzias and Wilson a Nobel Prize in 1978.....G3RFL.
