HOW TO MAKE THE DELAY LINE "E" AND "H" FIELD PHASER

The "E" and "H" fields have to be 100% in phase and at right angles to each other otherwise the RF beam will diverge and be lossy.

Below is a picture of the said unit this is designed to work from 1000 to about 10,000 MHz. The impedance of the phaser is 50 ohms.

I dont like designs that require tuning coils.....

Keep everything at the correct level and impedance then greater bandwidths can be obtained.....

The Delay line is the long adjustable coax line made from brass to slide in and out and it works well.....

The above was constructed for me by Stuart G6NHG and even at 10GHz was less than 1db loss......Connections IN/OUT are SMA......
